Thanksgiving Hours

We will be closed Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving and reopen Saturday at 9 AM.

Erin Keyser-Horn book signing

Please join us for Erin's book signing, the second book in her River's series. It will be at the library on Thursday, August 14 from 5-7 p.m. Please congratulate her on this book, River's Deep.

Summer Reading Program

Today was the last day of our Summer Reading Program. We had record attendance this summer with many promises of returning next year. We want to thank Gwen at Safe Haven for sponsoring our first program at her facility. Thank you also to Anna and Ari for visiting and explaining the responsibilities and training involved in a service dog. We also had a great visit from Deker and Hawk who are Clinton County, IA search and rescue dogs.

We will continue to promote reading throughout the summer so please stop by and see what we have available for check-out.

Paws for Reading

Time to start planning for the Summer Reading Program at the library. Paws for Reading will be an exciting time for us to learn about dogs and cats that are pets and that have special training to help us. Dates for the Summer Reading Program are June 20th, June 27th, July 11th and July 18th. We are working on our program so stay tuned for more details.

Good Friday

The Elizabeth Township Public Library will be closed on Good Friday, April 18th. Have a great Easter weekend!

Inclement Weather Policy

Now that the winter weather is upon us, we want to remind you of our inclement weather policy. The Library will not be open if bad weather causes River Ridge Schools to close. We have developed this guideline for everyone's safety.

World Book Night US

On World Book Night, 25,000 book givers each give away 20 copies of a specially-printed, not-for-resale World Book Night US edition of a book they have read and loved, chosen from a list of 30 titles selected by a panel of librarians and booksellers. The volunteer book givers personally hand out their copies to complete strangers, people who may never have owned a book of their own. Libraries and bookstores support this event as organizational participants, forming a nationwide advocacy and distribution network.
