Library Opening

We are almost there! Our books have arrived, and we are working to get them back in place. We will be open on Monday, August 31st at 1:00 p.m. and look forward to seeing you soon!

We are moving forward with our remodeling schedule with our last day of business being August 8, 2015. Books checked out from now until August 8th will be due on September 3, 2015 so that you don't have to worry about the books being overdue or fines incurred. We will be checking the book drops so you can still return books outside the library. Please communicate with us during this project through our Facebook page, our webpage or by e-mail at

Remodeling Project

Our remodeling plans are starting to come together. Our first day of closure will be August 10th, and we are anticipating the project to be about three weeks long. Hopefully, we will be re-opening on August 31, 2015. We are arranging with RAILS to have books that were ordered delivered to the Galena Public Library. We will still be within reach through this page, our Facebook page, by phone at 815-858-2212, or by e-mail at
